BancTec Grows Global Services in India with Expansion of BPO Centre

BancTec increases its India-based presence with the growth of its New Delhi Centre of Excellence.

LONDON  August 3rd, 2011 BancTec, a global leader in business process outsourcing (BPO) for financial transaction automation and document management, has announced the expansion of its BPO facility in India.  The expansion of the centre in Noida, New Delhi, strengthens BancTec’s global network of 19 Centres of Excellence across Europe, APAC and the Americas.

“The growth of our New Delhi facility will leverage BancTec’s operational and solution expertise to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients worldwide,” said Mark Fairchild, senior vice president and chief technology officer at BancTec.  “It is our first BPO Centre of Excellence based in India, and its continued development paves the way for a stronger global BPO presence.”

With increased support, BancTec can deliver a more comprehensive range of scalable services using a mix of on-shore, near-shore and offshore locations to meet the price and performance requirements of clients.  BancTec’s IT teams in India support BancTec’s product development and professional services groups. BPO services include payment processing, document imaging, data capture, invoicing processing, correspondence management, archive and SaaS hosting.

The Indian operation is a wholly owned BancTec subsidiary, which provides higher levels of control and consistency over the outsourcing process.  BancTec India operates to the same standards as BancTec’s North American and European teams to satisfy all compliance and security requirements relating to the processing of confidential data. The expanded facility provides best-in-class continuity services as well as a partner site in Chennai for disaster recovery.

BancTec expects to employ more than 200 people at its newly expanded Indian Centre of Excellence by the end of 2011.
